With 2009 in the rear view mirror, 2010 has finally arrived. Last year presented some interesting challenges and we expect the same for this coming costume season. Last year Michael Jackson costumes hit the ground running, although late arriving, to the surprise of many they were a hot costume in October. There were other costumes that really become the story book costumes of 2009:

Looking into the industry and the trends related, I'm sure we will still see some of the same blends on Halloween 2010. Most of the themes listed above should be once again hot in October 2010. But there is sure to be an explosion of new lines in the new year.

What should we expect for new Halloween Costumes in 2010?

We'll expect WWE Costumes - after tons of suggestions and feedback of people looking for these exact type of costumes, 2010 will be the year that the WWE Costumes hit the market. Wizards of Waverly place costumes should have new additions. The Playboy Costume line will also be growing. New character type costumes will be included in the new line of playboy costumes.

Expect 2010 to be the year of the vampire - With costumers pounding out new vampire costumes, we should see our fair share of vampires running around in Halloween 2010.
